Eboshiyama Park
The "100 Best Cherry Blossom Spots in Japan" spread out in the mountains behind Akayu Hot Springs.
Eboshiyama Park, which overlooks the Okitama area, is located behind Akayu Onsen(Hot Springs).
you can enjoy the beautiful cherry blossoms in spring, green leaves in summer, colored leaves in autumn, and the scenery of the four seasons is truly wonderful.
It is one of the few Edohigan colonies in the world, including the Somei-Yoshino, cherry tree, which is over 120 years old.
It is called "Eboshiyama Thousand Sakura" also because about 1000 cherry trees of 25 types are in full bloom at park.
there are many slopes and stairs that go down to the Akayu hot spring town from the park, and you can see the fascinating scenery of the cherry blossoms and the hot spring townscape here.
The "Akayu Onsen Sakura Festival" is held from mid-April to early May, and the cherry blossoms are lit up at night every year.
You can also look up at the cherry blossoms from the Onsen town. I recommend you to stay at Akayu Onsen and enjoy the cherry blossoms.
